Visiting the Center
The Jaffe Center for Book Arts is here to serve the FAU community and the broader community, too, through a hybrid model of on-site and technology-enhanced services to ensure safety while meeting the needs of all our users. The Jaffe Center is open to on-site visitors, but we do recommend appointments. Our general visitation and research hours are Monday to Friday,10 AM to 4 PM. Community groups and classes are welcome in the Book Arts Gallery at a capacity of up to 18 people. Masks are appreciated when visiting.
Wednesday Tours remain suspended until further notice. In-person Real Mail Fridays socials remain suspended until further notice, as well, but our weekly Virtual Real Mail Fridays Socials are an amazing international and highly sociable alternative. We hope to begin offering in-person workshops again in the late summer semester of 2022, but JCBA remains committed to virtual learning and virtual experiences and to the global book arts community we have built over the past two and a half years.
You may use the form at the bottom of this page to schedule a virtual appointment, or to inquire about a small group visit to the Jaffe Book Arts Gallery, or a virtual Book Arts Roadshow for your larger community group. We utilize Zoom for virtual appointments, and JCBA Zoom Global is our platform for all our virtual programming: This bright and robust collection of virtual workshops, gallery talks, and weekly socials attracts book arts enthusiasts from around the globe and not just the South Florida region. We encourage you to be part of our global JCBA community, which makes book arts neighbors of us all, no matter where we live.
