John comes to JCBA as a letterpress printer, bookbinder and
papermaker. He is a graduate of Florida Atlantic University and of
the MFA in the Book Arts Program at the University of Alabama, and
is one half of the partnership that makes up Convivio
Bookworks, a small press and book arts studio in nearby Lake
Worth. His favorite book is The Sketchbook of Geoffrey Crayon
by Washington Irving. He reads some Washington Irving every time he
catches a cold.

Eric, a native born son of Florida, earned his B.A. right here at Florida Atlantic University.
Web master for the Jaffe Center since 2014, he has helped to adapt the center's website to match
both it's own creativity with the branding standards of Florida Atlantic University.
He is always happy to bore you with historical facts regarding Roman Antiquity, Middle Age
Islam, or early Irish Independence Movements. The book he found most enlightening,
Meditations, by Marcus Aurelius.

Daniel is a cataloger, both for the Jaffe Center and for Special Collections in general.
He has degrees from Berklee College of Music and the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana
and is very active in the Association of Jewish Libraries. If asked to pick a favorite book, he
would most likely choose The Elephant Vanishes by Haruki Murakami and then spend the rest of the
day second-guessing that choice. He's got two sides / and they're both friends.

many of the themes found in the books at the Jaffe Center. Jeanne comes to JCBA from the Fine Arts Department at
the University of the Arts, Philadelphia, where she is Professor Emeritus. She is also a visiting artist at Xian
Academy of Fine Arts during the fall semester each year and is enthusiastic about the enrichment that develops
from international exchange. Her favorite book is The Little Prince by St Exupery, with a close second being The
Dream and the Underworld by James Hillman.

Book Reviewer Judith Klau
Judith writes most of the reviews of artists' books that you'll find on our website. She spends winters
in Florida, which makes her a proverbial snowbird, but while most snowbirds spend their days playing golf,
Judith is much more content researching artists' books and writing about them. And if we ever have a question
about Shakespeare, we know who to ask. Judith's latest effort is writing a blog about her
Wednesdays at the Jaffe: the weekly tours, the
exhibits, the books, the memories. Favorite book? Madame Bovary by Gustave Flaubert.
