Orientations and Course-Related Library Instruction

Professors are encouraged to arrange library orientations or course-related instructional sessions for their classes. It is recommended that a librarian meet with the professor prior to the date of the orientation or session. At that time they will discuss relevant student assignments and appropriate resources. The following rules apply to affiliated users:

Workshops

FAU Libraries offer scheduled workshops throughout the semester. Topics may include Information Literacy, Graduate Research, RefWorks, and PowerPoint. Workshops on discipline-related databases and resources are offered as needed. Workshops are free, but space is limited.

Reference Consultations

Reference Consultations are available to affiliated patrons. By completing a Reference Consultation Request Form available online or at the reference desk.  Consultations may also be arranged by phone.  Requesters will be contacted by phone or email to arrange a consultation.
