Book Reviews
Reviews are a way of knowing the content of books, but there are additional advantages to reading them. Reviews often reveal the viewpoint of an author, the relative value of a work, and how a particular book compares to others written on the same subject. Scholarly journals are the best source for quality book reviews. The Library recommends using the following databases for review searches:
- ABI/INFORM Complete
- A great way to search for historical business information, this archive allows you to search some of the leading publications
for topics such as marketing, management, accounting, case studies, and much more. Coverage ranges from 1905 to 1985.

- Book Review Digest Plus brings together the rich data of Book Review Digest, which includes descriptive summaries of books as well as excerpts of book reviews, with all the book review citations and full text of book reviews from eleven other H. W. Wilson indexes.
- Contemporary Women's Issues
- Provides full text access to global information on women. Journals, newsletters, research reports from non- profit groups, government and international agencies, along with fact sheets are easily accessed through CWI. - Contains citations, with abstracts, to articles from more than 400 economics journals. In addition, subject indexing and abstracts of books and subject indexing of dissertation titles are included. Corresponding printed sources are: Journal of Economic Literature, Index of Economic Articles, and Cambridge University Press Abstracts of Working Papers in Economics.

- H-Net Reviews
- H-Net Reviews in the Humanities and Social Sciences is an online scholarly review resource.
- Human Population & Natural Resource Management
- The database deals with issues arising from
the conflict between the ever-increasing population of the Earth and the
Earth's limited environmental and natural resources. Human Population & Natural
Resource Management explores human population and demography topics, as well as
societal issues involving natural resource management. Coverage includes
relevant papers, reports, books and reviews from standard peer-reviewed
scientific journals. To ensure comprehensive coverage, material from conference
proceedings and hard-to-find gray literature has also been summarized.
