The letter "R" is reserved by the Library of Congress for books in medicine, including nursing. Nursing books are generally in the "RTs" but you will find them throughout the entire "R" class.

A general outline of the subdivisions of nursing and their Library of Congress Classification System call numbers is shown below. Books can be located on the shelves by these call numbers and searched in the book catalog using these terms. As your library research continues, you may find additional call numbers and search terms.

FAU's book catalog has two search modes: Basic and Advanced. The Basic Screen gives the option of searching for books by keyword, author, title and subject. The Advanced Screen gives these options, plus several others. Open the box labeled "keyword" to view your search options. To search for books held only in Jupiter, use the Advanced Screen and open the "Location" box.
