Call Numbers for History Books

The letters C, D, E, & F are reserved for materials in History. For browsing purposes, simply go to the appropriate stacks. Visit the Library of Congress web site to view classification outlines. Both circulating and non-circulating (Reference) materials follow the same classification system.

A search for your topic on WebLUIS may very well illustrate the interdiciplinary nature your topic. Your work at the catalog will be a process of narrowing and focusing. The library staff is happy to assist you if you need help.

Searching Tips
FAU's book catalog has two search modes: Basic and Advanced. The Basic Screen gives the option of searching for books by keyword, author, title and subject. The Advanced Screen gives these options plus several others. Open the box labeled "keyword" to view your search options. To search only for books located in Jupiter, open the Location drop-down and select Jupiter.
