A general outline of the subdivisions of anthropology and their Library of Congress Classification System call numbers is shown below. Books can be located on the shelves by these call numbers and searched in the book catalog using these terms. As your library research continues, you will find additional call numbers and search terms.FAU's book catalog has two search modes: Basic and Advanced. Basic Search gives the option of searching for books by keyword, author, title and subject. Advanced Search gives these options, plus several others. Open the box labeled "keyword" to view your search options. To search for books held only at the MacArthur Campus Library, use Advanced Search and open the "Location" box.
In addition to the books in paper, FAU has begun to add databases of full text online books. netLibrary is a separate index of full-text books in all subject areas, with a large component of current academic books in the field of education.
