Klezmer Company Orchestra
|
The Klezmer Company Orchestra, now in its
eleventh season, was founded
by Music Director Aaron Kula in 1997 to perform world music from a wide range
of cultures and historical periods and to perform and promote music from Florida
Atlantic University Libraries’ collections. KCO, FAU Libraries’ professional
ensemble-in-residence, features accomplished jazz and classical musicians. The ensemble
defies classification with its high-energy performances and eclectic programming. Similar
to classical orchestras and jazz ensembles, KCO features core soloists with section musicians;
orchestra personnel vary depending on the repertoire of each concert. The popular ensemble has performed
before thousands at sold-out concerts and has received critical acclaim for its unique style.
KCO core members participate in a collaborative process; creating original arrangements that
are as unique as the individual musicians in the ensemble. For additional information and to experience KCO, visit www.klezmercompany.com For additional information on KCO's upcoming season of concerts: Press Release |
