The department of Music Performance & Education takes the library’s vintage print music from "shelf to stage," engaging the community through educational and outreach programs. The department also works with the library’s special collections in order to promote, preserve and revitalize the print music, which includes Jazz, Blues, Jewish, Classical, Folk and other genres. Director Aaron Kula leads the critically acclaimed KCO (Klezmer Company Orchestra), the professional ensemble-in-residence at FAU Libraries. Kula and KCO perform concerts, present interactive workshops for teachers, and offer lectures at FAU, throughout South Florida and across the country. The department also showcases library collections with an annual Kultur Festival—a celebration of Jewish music and arts. Please follow the links on the left to learn more.
