The FAU Libraries are fully committed to the
program goals of the
Quality
Enhancement Plan (QEP). In support of the program goals
the Libraries have already accomplished the following:

Hosted a
QEP Kickoff
session at the Wimberly Library on the Boca Raton
Campus to inform students about the Plan

Published the inaugural issue of the
FAU Undergraduate
Research Journal (FAURJ), an initiative associated
with the QEP, through the Council of Scholarship &
Inquiry, and in collaboration with the University
Libraries and the Division of Student Affairs
-
Continued participation in the QEP
Steering Committee
In order to meet undergraduate research
needs, the FAU Libraries provide the following
programs and services:

Research help at the
Reference Desk 70 hours per week

Ask a Librarian electronic reference service accessed
by chat, e-mail, and text

Research consultations with librarians
by appointment

Webcasts and tutorials

LibGuides (research guides)
-
Collaborative instructional sessions
between librarians and classroom faculty
-
Instructional sessions for Freshman
Learning Community Strategies for Learning Success (SLS)
classes that integrate research and inquiry
-
FAU Digital Library maintains digital collections of
faculty and student publications, including undergraduate
honors theses
FAU Libraries house 2.5 million volumes and
hundreds of databases crucial to undergraduate research.
