    Reference Desk
  • The Reference Desk is staffed by librarians trained to help students with their research needs.

  • The desk is open most hours the library is open. When the desk is closed, staff in the Reference Department are happy to assist.

  • Some frequently used items such as the World Almanac, ERIC Thesaurus, Statistical Abstract of the United States, Standard and Poor's, Fortune 500, etc. are kept in the "Ready Reference Section" behind the desk. For more information, please visit the Reference Department's web site.
    Reference Collection
  • The Reference Collection is divided into two sections; the general Reference Collection and print abstracts and indexes.

  • The general Reference Collection includes such materials as encyclopedias, dictionaries, atlases, research guides, literary criticisms, and business and industry reports.

  • Print indexes and abstracts are located in the compact shelving behind the Referecence Desk.

  • Reference books do not circulate and cannot be checked out.
Another service provided by the Reference Department is "Ask A Librarian".
