Frequently Asked Questions

What qualifications must be met for an exhibit to be considered appropriate for the library?

• Clearly defined educational purpose and statement
• Noncommercial
• Library component
• High-quality and exhibit-ready
• Conform with University Library Exhibits Policy and the Exhibits Calendar

Who can display and exhibit?

• Anyone willing to meet the qualifications, although members of the Florida Atlantic University community will be given priority

What type of display equipment is available?

• 8 display panels; 2 octagonal glass cases; 3 flat table style display cases

What role does the Library Exhibits Committee play in the development of exhibits?

• Selection
• Scheduling and coordinating preparation and presentation
• Assisting in the selection of a library component whether by choosing books from the collection to be displayed or by creating a bibliography
• Approval of labels, captions, a title, a comment book, and other written materials
