Feng Shui

Feng shui (pronounced feng shway) is the ancient Chinese art of placement. The practice dates back more than 3,000 years. Following the Tao philosophy, it fulfilled a need to make man's environment more comfortable and natural.

At the heart of feng shui is ch'i, the universal life force. By balancing ch'i, feng shui harmonizes environments with the universal patterns inherent in nature. For maximum efficiency, health, harmonious relationships and prosperity in life, feng shui will indicate how to rearrange and reorganize living and work spaces. The recommended changes are based on common sense, practicality and above all simplicity.

This feng shui exhibit and the books displayed show only a small part of this many faceted practice. For a broader picture or advice on any specific problem, consult a feng shui master.
