FAU Libraries Write-N-Cite

Off-campus users, after installing the "Write-N-Cite" plug-in (located under "Tools" in the RefWorks menu bar), you must do the following:
 

Write-N-Cite for Windows v.2 - Compatible with

• Microsoft Word 2000 and up (Word 2007 users should use Write-N-Cite III)

• Windows 98, ME, NT, 2000 and XP (VISTA users must use Write-N-Cite III)

• Internet Explorer 5.0 and up

Go to Start (on your computer), select Programs and RefWorks.

Select the Write-N-Cite Configuration Utility. 

After selecting the Write-N-Cite Configuration Utility, the Write-N-Cite Configuration Utility dialog box appears.  Copy and paste the URL below in the dialog box:

Write-N-Cite for Windows III

From the Windows Start Menu select Programs and RefWorks.

Select the WNC Proxy Configuration Utility and right-mouse click on it (do not double click it) and click on Run As

Select The following user: radio button

Select Administrator in the User Name drop-down

Click OK.

Go back to the Windows Start Menu and select Programs and RefWorks.

Select the WNC Proxy Configuration Utility.

Copy and paste the URL below in the dialog box:

Write-N-Cite for Mac

Activate Write-N-Cite.

Select Preferences from the Write-N-Cite menu .

Select the Proxy option and copy and paste the URL below in the dialog box:

http://ezproxy.fau.edu/login?url=https://www.refworks.com/Refworks/?WNC=true
 
Restart Write-N-Cite for this proxy configuration to take effect.
