How to Connect Laptops in the Library



Bring Your Laptop to the S.E. Wimberly Library

and

Connect to the FAU Network




using

our wireless connectivity

or

our active ethernet data ports




1. You must be an FAU student, faculty or staff and have an FAU Network Account.


2. Your laptop must have:


a. Wireless Network Adaptor for wireless access,
          or

b. Network Interface Card (NIC) and your own network cable for an ethernet connection.


3. You must configure your laptop for DHCP network addressing.

4. Access in the Library:


Wireless access is available on all floors of the Library.
 

Data access ports are located in the East and West Wings of the 1st Floor, along the North wall. Ports are also available in some study rooms. Ask for assistance at the Circulation Desk.
