Instructor Kelly Sullivan
Sunday August 26, 2018
10 AM to 2 PM
JCBA's Book & Paper Studio at Historic Building T6
Class limit: 12
This back-to-basics workshop is great for anyone looking to learn a fun creative hobby. Using a variety of techniques, we will be working with melt-and-pour soap bases to create 5 or more products in different shapes, colors, and fragrances. We will also explore packaging ideas.
Melt and pour soap making is the process of melting a soap base, color and essential oils, resulting in lovely soaps that require no aging, so they can be used right away. Unlike other soap making processes, there is no lye used in the melt-and-pour process, so it’s also a safer, easier way to make soap at home. This workshop is suitable for kids, too, ages 9 and up.
