We hear you asking, "What is this thing they call a Popbox?" Well, a Popbox is a paper pocket pal. A Popbox is a movable mechanical 'musement. In this specific case, a Popbox is a 5" x 3" x .5" box filled with turtle automata. You'll get a kit, so gathering materials will be easy. Note: This paper craft project requires careful assembly. If you are a beginner—and you are absolutely welcome if you are—bring clean fingers and a calm mind.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
Tablet or computer with internet connection • PVA • bone folder • steel ruler • xacto knife • self-healing mat • scissors (optional) • awl (optional) • microspatula (optional) • tweezers (optional)
Shawn will mail you a kit, as well, containing the rest of the necessary supplies. For this reason, registration for this workshop closes Wednesday May 12 at 4 PM Eastern Daylight Time. Our apologies: due to the prohibitive cost and current uncertainty in international shipping, we are restricting this workshop to participants with US mailing addresses only.
Advance registration is required for all JCBA workshops, and for this one, you must register by Wednesday May 12 at 4 PM Eastern Daylight Time. To register, email JCBA Director John Cutrone (firstname.lastname@example.org).
