Instructor Kelly Sullivan

Saturday June 2, 2018
10 AM to 2:00 PM
JCBA's Book & Paper Studio at Historic Building T6
Class limit: 12

The joy of painting resides in each of us! We just have to let loose and let go of pre-conceived ideas. This four-hour workshop, designed for all levels of artistic experience, brings much in the way of possibility: it will enhance your creativity, give you an outlet to release stress, perhaps introduce you to a new hobby… while also helping experienced painters loosen up. No experience is needed, though, to give yourself the gift of play and to create beautiful art––You’ll get step by step instruction in a small group setting and you'll receive individualized coaching, so beginners can learn the basics while more advanced students discover their favorite style and rekindle inspiration.

We will explore mixed media, expressionist and realistic techniques… and incorporate all we learn in beautiful pieces of art that can be used in many different art projects––including bookmaking. Everyone will go home with a mixed media painted accordion book that they’ve made in the workshop.
