The Jaffe Center for Book Arts offers numerous workshops and classes in book arts topics throughout the year. These are open to all who are interested in learning the art and craft of the handmade book. Very often prior experience is not a requirement; you just need the curiosity that makes anyone want to learn something new.

We offer you classes with instructors on our own staff as well as classes with renowned book artists from around the globe. Among those who have taught here are Ed Hutchins, Paula Marie Gourley, Emily Martin, Beatrice Coron, Karen Hanmer, Maddy Rosenberg and Paul Johnson.

We don't limit instruction to book arts, either. Watch for upcoming classes in other aspects of the handcrafts (we're looking at soapmaking and natural dyes) and even in the more cerebral aspects of bookmaking.
