This workshop, in conjunction with our Carbon Alternative
exhibition, offers instruction in copier art from one of the
major contributing artists originally working in the medium,
Ginny Lloyd, whose work and private collection forms the
foundation for our exhibition.
Ginny will show examples of early works created on copiers,
explain how they were made, and demonstrate techniques
developed as a result of her experiments with using copiers
as unique cameras. This is a hands-on workshop where
participants will have an opportunity to try the techniques
for themselves and come away with unique prints and/or an
artists' book.
Techniques you will learn in this workshop include:
• Flashing
• Copy Motion
• Overprinting
• Degeneration
• Direct image
• Still Life Collage
• Automated Overlay
And many more you will find in discovery experiments. Ginny
has taught similar workshops in California, Ohio, New York,
Germany, Holland and Italy.
