The Artists' Books of Susan Joy Share

Performance artist and book artist Susan Joy Share creates kinetic forms, architectural spaces, costumes and experimental books that integrate visual art, movement and sound. Her work combines techniques and materials from bookbinding, sewing, painting, collage and sculpture. Share's studio is based in Anchorage, Alaska, and this is her first major exhibition in Florida, the extreme opposite corner of the country.

Join us Friday evening October 18 for a performance by Susan Joy Share at FAU's University Theater and Tuesday evening October 22 for a gallery talk with the artist in the intimate space of the Jaffe Book Arts Gallery. Share will also teach a weekend workshop (Sculptural Books: Combining Structures) at JCBA the weekend of October 19 and 20. See our Events and Workshops pages for full information.
