REAL MAIL FRIDAYS:
St. Distaff's Day Social

Friday January 8
2 to 5 PM Eastern
From Wherever You Are, via Zoom

Our December Real Mail Fridays sessions were so much fun, we've decided to continue them in the new year. First up is this St. Distaff's Day Social. St. Distaff is a fictional saint focused on the idea of returning to ordinary time after the Twelve Days of Christmas. Tradtionally, the men returned to their farming with Plough Monday, while the women returned to their spinning with St. Distaff's Day. About the same time, the printer's apprentices in Holland were celebrating Copperman's Day.

We'll talk about all these things (and more) during designated chat times in the social. The rest of the time, enjoy our music selections while you write letters (or do other quiet things) in the socially-distanced company of other like-minded folks.

Tune in on Friday via Zoom from 2 to 5 PM EST. Gather your writing supplies, brew yourself some coffee or tea, come and go as you please. Turn on your camera if you wish and visit with Real Mail pals old and new, near and far.
