A Secret Question< PreviousNext >
My broadside is a reaction to the poem written by Ko Un entitled, "A Secret Question." I was initially awestruck by the dark imagery within the poem, detailing hills soaked in blood and the idea of a cricket as a protagonist. There is a deep sense of loss and isolation within Ko Un's poem, which I gained an even greater respect for in setting the type by hand. Each letter took on a new meaning every minute I spent composing this text. The print is comprised of two-color polymer plates, in an edition of 35.
