To locate information about a particular composer or performer, do a subject search on their name (entering their last name first). To find works by a particular composer or performer, do an author search (also last name first). The advanced search option allows limiting by format, including scores and sound recordings.

Includes over 10,000 classical musical recordings for listening, composer and artist biographies, program notes on key works and movements, daily classical music news, a beginner's guide, timeline and glossary.

DRAM
DRAM provides on-demand, high-quality (192kbps/MP4) streaming access to complete works. The basis for the current collection is the diverse catalogue of American music recordings by New World Records from folk to opera, Native American to jazz, 19th century classical to early rock, musical theater, contemporary, electronic and beyond.

Authoritative resource on all aspects of music, comprising the full text of The New Grove Dictionary of Music and Musicians, The New Grove Dictionary of Opera, and The New Grove Dictionary of Jazz.

Humanities Full Text
Subject areas include archaeology, area studies, art, classical studies, communications, dance, film, folklore, gender studies, history, journalism, linguistics, literary and social criticism literature, music, performing arts, philosophy, religion and theology. Covers 1984 to the present, with full-text coverage beginning in January 1995.

Humanities & Social Sciences Retrospective
Covers subject areas listed in Humanities Full Text above, as well as the social sciences, for the years 1907-1984.

Journal storage: includes back files of over 500 scholarly journals. JSTOR now contains the complete back runs of thirty-two scholarly journals dedicated to research and theory in the field of music, and includes journals published in the US, Great Britain, Netherlands, Croatia, Hungary, Germany and France.

Oxford Reference Online : The Concise Oxford Dictionary of Opera
Provides plot synopses and first performance details, bibliographies of works about opera, entries on singers (including their debuts and career highlights, with notes on voice type, style, and reputation), definitions and discussions of technical terms and operatic styles, and surveys of the history of opera worldwide are all included in a reference work that provides an enormous amount of information.

Oxford Reference Online : Who's Who in Opera

Containing over 2,500 operatic characters, this guide gives plot synopses for over 250 operas and operettas, and details full information on each operatic role, including its creator and notable performers.

RILM Abstracts of Music Literature
RILM offers a broad international coverage base and it includes music related works from articles, books, bibliographies, dissertations, film & video to concert reviews and recording notes - provided the items are of scholarly interest.
