This guide was designed by Anthony Adams to help identify resources on Research Resources in Languages other than English and related topics in the FAU Boca Raton Library. The electronic resources are available from the FAU Libraries home page by following the links entitled Indexes/ Databases or Articles. Some of these resources have full-text articles available online. To access these resources from off campus, use the EZ Proxy link and log in using your 14-digit Owl Card number. For further assistance, please contact the Reference Desk by telephone (561-297-3785) or send e-mail lyref@fau.edu.

SEARCHING THE FAU CATALOG

The non-English language books in the S.E. Wimberly library are shelved right along side the English language books, so we have no "foreign language" section.  If you want to find our non-English materials, you will have to search the catalog.

1 From the library's home page, click on "Catalog" from the "Quick Links" on the left side of the page, or on "Books" from the listing under "Research Resources" in the middle of the page.
2 On the gray bar immediately above the "Type your search term(s)" box, choose "Advanced".
3 Under "Limit by" in the lower left portion of the screen, click on the inverted triangle to produce a list of languages from which you can choose to search.
4 Scroll down the list and click on the language of the books for which you are searching.
5 Type the appropriate keyword, author, title, etc. you need in the boxes above.
6 Submit your search.
