Alternative Press Index (1991-present) and Alternative Press Index Archive (1969-1990) - Indexes 300 alternative, radical, and left magazines, periodicals, and newspapers. Articles cover cultural, economic, political, and social change.

America: History and Life - Covers United States and Canadian history from prehistory to the present.

Anthropology Plus (19th century-present) - Indexes articles and essays on anthropology and archaeology, including art history, demography, economics, psychology, and religious studies.

Chicano Database (1967-present) - Indexes information about Mexican-American topics. Only database for and about Chicano topics.

Clase/Periodica (1975/1978-present) - CLASE indexes documents published in Latin American journals specializing in the social sciences and humanities. PERIODICA covers journals specializing in science and technology.

Ethnic NewsWatch and Ethnic NewsWatch: A History (1960-present) - Full-text database of ethnic, minority, and native newspapers, magazines, and journals.

Expanded Academic ASAP - Good general database that indexes articles from scholarly journals, news magazines, and newspapers in the arts, humanities, social sciences, science, and technology. Limit your search to "refereed publications" for citations from scholarly periodicals.

GenderWatch (1970-present) - Publications indexed include scholarly journals, magazines, newsletters, newspapers, books, pamphlets, conference proceedings, and government reports. Covers 175 titles. Topics: women's studies, gender studies, family studies, and gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender studies.

Handbook of Latin American Studies - (1990-present) - Covers social science and humanities records that describe books, book chapters, articles, and conference papers published in Latin American studies.

Historical Abstracts - (1954-present) - Covers the history of the world from 1450 to the present.

Humanities Full Text (Use this in place of Humanities Abstracts) (1984-present) - Subject areas include archaeology, area studies, art, classical studies, communications, dance, film, folklore, gender studies, history, journalism, linguistics, literary and social criticism literature, music, performing arts, philosophy, religion and theology. Full-text coverage begins in January 1995.

MLA International Bibliography (1963-present) - Includes over one million citations from journals. Indexes books, essay collections, proceedings, dissertations, etc. pertaining to folklore, language, and literature. Sources number more than 6,500.

OmniFile Full Text Mega Edition (Use this in place of WilsonSelectPlus) - Wilson OmniFile Full Text, Mega Edition is a multi-disciplinary database providing the complete content - indexing, abstracts, and full text - from six of Wilson's full-text databases: Education Full Text, General Science Full Text, Humanities Full Text, Readers' Guide Full Text, Social Sciences Full Text, and Wilson Business Full Text.

Social Sciences Full Text (Use this in place of Social Science Abstracts) (1983-present)
Subject areas include addiction studies, anthropology, area studies, community health and medical care, corrections, criminal justice, criminology, economics, environmental studies, ethics, family studies, gender studies, geography, gerontology, international relations, law, minority studies, planning and public administration, policy sciences, political science, psychiatry, psychology, public welfare, social work, sociology, and urban studies.

Web of Science - Includes the Arts and Humanities Citation Index, Social Science Citation Index, and Science Citation Index Expanded. Allows users to search for cited references.

Not everything is available online or electronically. Sometimes the best resources are found in print format.
