Indexes and abstracts research studies related to algae, fungi, or protozoa. Coverage includes such topics as growth, reproduction, and environmental impact of algae.

This database is a component of the Aquatic Sciences and Fisheries Information System. It monitors over 5,000 serial publications, books, reports, conference proceedings, translations and limited distribution literature.

Periodical coverage includes a wide range of scientific journals, from popular to professional, that pertain to biology and agriculture. About 45 percent of the focus is on agriculture. Full text coverage begins in January 1997.

BioOne Journals Online
Provides the full-text of high-impact bioscience research journals.

Conference Papers Index (Located in Cambridge Scientific Abstracts)

Provides citations to papers and poster sessions presented at major scientific conferences worldwide. Coverage from 1982 forward.

Current Contents Connect
A current awareness database that provides access to complete bibliographic information on recently published articles from approximately 6,600 journals in the areas of science, technology, medicine, social science, business, humanities and popular culture.

Elsevier Science Direct
A searchable database that provides the full-text of research journals in environmental science and other disciplines.

Everglades Online (Located in WebLUIS Databases)
This database provides access to literature and online sources covering the Everglades ecosystem. Includes photos, slides, maps, and numerical datasets. Materials are provided by the FIU Southeast Environmental Research Center, the Restoration Ecology Branch of USGS-BRD Florida Caribbean Science Center, the National Park Service, and the State University System of Florida.

A database that provides abstracts to worldwide literature on geography, geology and ecology.

GeoRef (Located in Cambridge Scientific Abstracts)

A database that covers the literature of geology in North America from 1785 to the present and the geology of the rest of the world from 1933 to the present.

GrayLit Network
Developed by the U.S. Government's Office of Science and Technology, this database provides full-text technical reports generated by federally-funded government projects. It searches the report collection of the Defense Technical Information Center (DTIC), the Department of Energy Information Bridge, EPA National Environmental Publications, NASA Jet-Propulsion Lab, and NASA Langely Technical Reports.

Ingenta (Formerly UnCover and Catchword)
A multidisciplinary database that offers citations and abstracts; full-text to subscribed journals, and pay-per-view access to unsubscribed journals.

Lexis-Nexis Academic 
*News--Provides full-text articles from major foreign and domestic newspapers
*Legal--Seach the Code of Federal Regulations, law reviews, and federal and state laws. Provides full-text of  these documents

MEDLINE (FirstSearch) or (PubMED)
The National Institute of Health--National Library of Medicine database that contains citations and abstracts from over 3700 journals. Covers all areas of medicine including clinical medicine, experimental medicine, health services administration, nutrition, and more. Links to some full text articles.

Oceanic Abstracts  (Located in Cambridge Scientific Abstracts)
(Choose database from list)
Indexes and abstracts journal literature which covers marine and brackish-water environments. Subject coverage includes biological oceanography, ecology, marine geology and others. The Journal of Coastal Research (1981-  ) is one of the 534 journals indexed in this database.

Safety Science and Risk  (Located in Cambridge Scientific Abstracts)

Some major areas of coverage within this database are disaster preparedness, environmental safety, insurance, natural hazards, pollution source analysis, risk assessment and management.

Science Citation Index (Located in Web of Science)
A multidisciplinary database covering the journal literature of the sciences. It indexes more than 5,700 major journals across 164 scientific disciplines.

Science.gov
A gateway to authoritative selected science information provided by U.S. Government agencies, including research and development results.

Synergy
Provides full-text articles in the disciplines of biology, earth science, ecology, environmental science, plant science and others.

Toxline (Located in Cambridge Scientific Abstracts)

This database, produced by the U.S. National Library of Medicine, offers access to information in all areas of toxicology, including chemicals and pharmaceuticals, pesticides, environmental pollutants, and mutagens and teratogens.
