Black Short Fiction (Mid 1990s-present) The most comprehensive collection of African and African-Diaspora stories yet created. Caribbean Literature (19th-20th Centuries) - A searchable collection of poetry and fiction produced in the region during the 19th and 20th centuries. Among the titles selected by our editors are numerous rare and hard-to-find works written in English, French, Spanish, Dutch, and various Creole languages. Clase/Periodica (1975/1978-present) - CLASE indexes documents published in Latin American journals specializing in the social sciences and humanities. PERIODICA covers journals specializing in science and technology.
Essay and General Literature Index (1985-present) - Focuses on the humanities and social sciences, with subject coverage ranging from economics, political science, and history to criticism of literary works, drama, and film.
Ethnic NewsWatch and Ethnic NewsWatch: A History (1960-present) - Full-text database of ethnic, minority, and native newspapers, magazines, and journals.
Expanded Academic ASAP - Good general database that indexes articles from scholarly journals, news magazines, and newspapers in the arts, humanities, social sciences, science, and technology. Limit your search to "refereed publications" for citations from scholarly periodicals.
GenderWatch (1970-present) - Publications indexed include scholarly journals, magazines, newsletters, newspapers, books, pamphlets, conference proceedings, and government reports. Covers 175 titles. Topics: women's studies, gender studies, family studies, and gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender studies.
Humanities Full Text - (1984-present) - Subject areas include folklore, gender studies, history, journalism, literary and social criticism literature, music, religion and theology. Full-text coverage begins in January 1995.
JSTOR - Journal Storage. More than 500 scholarly journals in humanities and social science disciplines.
Literature Online (LION)- Provides access to more than 350,000 works of English and American poetry, drama and prose, 180 full-text literature journals, and other key criticism and reference resources.
Literature Resource Center - Delivers biographical and bibliographical information on authors and their works. Covers authors of fiction, non-fiction, poetry, drama, history, and journalism.
MLA International Bibliography (1963-present) - Includes over one million citations from journals. Indexes books, essay collections, proceedings, dissertations, etc. pertaining to folklore, language, and literature. Sources number more than 6,500.
OmniFile Full Text Mega Edition (Use this in place of WilsonSelectPlus) - Wilson OmniFile Full Text, Mega Edition is a multi-disciplinary database providing the complete content - indexing, abstracts, and full text - from six of Wilson's full-text databases: Education Full Text, General Science Full Text, Humanities Full Text, Readers' Guide Full Text, Social Sciences Full Text, and Wilson Business Full Text.
Project Muse- 300+ scholarly journals in humanities and social science disciplines.
Web of Science - Includes the Arts and Humanities Citation Index, Social Science Citation Index, and Science Citation Index Expanded. Allows users to search for cited references.
