About the Reference Department The Reference Department staff provides assistance to the FAU community in using both the electronic and print collection resources. The Reference Department is open all times that the building is open, including until midnight on "school nights" from Sunday through Thursday. The Reference Desk is generally open most of these hours, but some reduction of service hours is made during intersession and summer terms. Bring us your topics and we will suggest databases that will help you find the best research material available. Also remember to bring a disk to download from the computers. Printers and photocopiers are also available in the Reference area for your convenience. The Reference Department also provides additional services: Telephone Reference Service, E-mail Reference Service, Library Instruction Sessions, Library Instruction Materials, Special Reference Consultations and The Electronic Reference Shelf.
