Before You Start

**Off-Campus Connect / EZ-Proxy is necessary to access databases and electronic journals from off-campus locations. Before you begin any research, click here, enter your OWL card number, and make sure that your access is working. If it is not, call the circulation desk at the Boca Library at 561-297-6911 during normal business hours to have your card activated.

TIP: When you Define Your Research Question first, your entire research process becomes easier, quicker, and more efficient!

Want Books?

Click on the "Library Catalog" .  This source lists the books, government documents, videos, and other materials owned by the FAU libraries. It will tell you what books and journals, etc. the library owns.

Want Journal Articles?

The Online Databases are where you will look for articles for most of your on or off-campus research. Remember that not all of the databases are going to provide full-text articles and that you will want to search for articles from peer-reviewed, or scholarly journal sources for research papers.

You may browse FAU Library's Collection of Electronic Journals when you don't have a specific topic or when you do have a specific article citation.
