ProQuest Direct

Use ProQuest Direct to access articles in business and criminal justice periodicals, and the New York Times and Wall Street Journal newspapers.

Open the ProQuest Direct collection of databases.

Descriptions are listed under each database title. Check the box or boxes to the left of the database or databases you want to search. You may search more than one database at a time. (See Figure 1 below.)

Once you have selected your database(s), click Continue button to begin the search. For our example, we're going to search ABI/INFORM Global. (See Figure 1 above.)


Let's search for articles on Nike, the athletics apparel company, and its advertising tactics. Let's limit our search results to scholarly articles only. (See Figure 2) (To learn more about scholarly articles, see the "Scholarly vs. Popular Articles" module.
