Ovid Online

Use Ovid Online to search for nursing articles and evidence based medicine reviews.

Open the Ovid Online collection of databases. When it opens, you will be prompted to choose a database to search. Let's select Journals @ Ovid Full Text (See Figure 1 below).

Figure 2 below shows a layout of the Ovid search page. Note the various fields and check boxes.

Let's look for articles about botox injections. (See Figure 3)

We could either limit our search to full-text articles (check the "Ovid Full Text Available box) or to all available article citations (leave the box unchecked). Let's search for all available.

113 citations were found for botox injections. (See Figure 4 below) To view the abstract, complete reference, or full-text of the article, or the table of contents of the periodical in which the article appears, click the appropriate links. See Figure 5 for a partially zoomed-in view of record 1.

Selecting Ovid Full Text allows you to view the article's entire text.
