Sample search using
Expanded Academic Index ASAP
Let's look for articles
on college sports.
Because college sports is our main topic, we want to make sure it appears
in either the article's title, citation,
or abstract,
so we will select the "in title, citation, abstract" radio button.
(See Figure 2)

Figure
2
The search located
over 3,000 citations or articles where "college
sports" appears in either the title, citation, or abstract. The first
result is listed below in Figure 3.
For each entry the
article's title, author (if applicable), publication name, publication
date, and page number information, and the full text, abstract, or citation
are provided.

Figure 3
Figure 4 below
shows the different types of formats that are available.

Figure 4
- For the first entry
above, Text or Text with Graphics means that the entire
text of the article, and, if applicable, any images or charts, are provided
through the links.
- In the second entry,
the link entitled Abstract means that only an abstract of the
article is provided. If you want the entire text of the article, you
will need to check the catalog to see if the library has a print version
available.
- The link for Citation
in the last entry means that only citation information is given.
The article's abstract and full text are not provided. If you want the
entire text of the article, you will need to check the catalog to see
if the library has a print version available.
