To access any database, select the Indexes/Databases or Articles links from the Library's home page. (See Figure 1)

Click on the appropriate letter depending on what the first letter of the database is. (See Figure 2) For LexisNexis you would select "L," and for ProQuest Direct you would select "P." Since databases are listed alphabetically, you may have to scroll down until you find the database you want.

In this tutorial, we will introduce you to five databases, all of which provide full-text articles, and their basic search techniques.

    • Expanded Academic ASAP - Arts and humanities, social sciences, science and technology. Scholarly and popular articles.
    • LexisNexis Academic - Newspaper and magazine articles, government documents, case law, company and industry information, state and federal laws.
    • OvidOnline - Collection of databases that includes CINAHL (Cumulative Index to Nursing & Allied Health Literature) and ERM Reviews
    • ProQuest Direct - Collection of databases that covers business, marketing, management, and accounting, and includes the New York Times, and \Wall Street Journal.
    • PsycArticles - Contains articles from AP journals and selected EPF journals.
    • WilsonSelectPlus - Multidisciplinary database that covers some accounting, advertising, humanities, environment, healthcare, marketing, etc.
