Electronic Databases are available from the FAU

selecting "Research Resources" or "Quick Links" and then
"Indexes/Databases". When accessing
the databases remotely, be sure to select the link for the "EZproxy"
server.

CINAHL Plus with Full Text (EBSCO)
This electronic resource provides access to
nursing research and clinical practice articles.
Additionally, it indexes nursing dissertations, conference
proceedings, standards of professional practice, as well as
Evidence Based Care Sheets.

Evidence Based Medicine Reviews
(OVID)
Provides the updated
systematic reviews of the healthcare clinical studies in a
full-text format.

MEDLINE (Cambridge
Scientific) OR (PubMED)
The National Institute of Health-National Library of
Medicine database gives references to articles in over
4,800 journals in all areas of medicine including clinical
medicine, experimental medicine, nursing and other areas.

Natural Medicine Comprehensive Database
This resources gives evidence based, clinical
information on natural and herbal medicines, and dietary
supplements used in the Western World.

ProQuest Dissertations and Theses Contains
references to U.S. doctoral dissertations and master's
theses with some access to the full-text

PsycINFO The database provides access to the
literature of psychology and related disciplines, such as
nursing. Coverage is from 1806 to the current year.
EVALUATING INFORMATION
If you are not using one of the "Electronic Databases" listed above or other
databases via the FAU Libraries Electronic Collection, you need to consider some
of the following questions when evaluating information from the Internet:
