Expanded Academic ASAP
This general index gives references to articles on the
history of music and musicians in such publications as "19th
Century Music", the "Journal of the American Musicological
Society" and other music periodicals.

Humanities Full Text
Provides articles on subject areas that include music,
dance, performing arts and many others. The full text of
articles is available in this database beginning with
January 1995.

JSTOR
This database gives access to full text articles from many
scholarly journals in the area of music. It can be searched
by using keywords or by "browsing" subject lists of journals
and their contents.

Music Index 1978-present
Contains references to articles on music and musicians in
725 international music periodicals.

New Grove Dictionary of Music and Musicians
This is an excellent starting point for finding information
about the life and works of a composer.

RILM Abstracts of Music Literature 1967-present
Provides references, with summaries, to articles, books,
dissertations and other publications of scholarly interest
on various music topics.
