Summary: Antony and Cleopatra is perhaps best known for its moments of rich poetry and high romance. But apart from this, there are many short crowded scenes in which soldiers prepare for battle, or politicians deal with the affairs of state. In many productions these scenes are hastened over, although their relative speed and compactness can cause great problems for the actor.
