Doctoral dissertations and Master's theses can often be more difficult to obtain through ILL than other types of materials. In most cases, only the library of the institution granting the degree will own it. Additionally, many libraries have restrictive lending policies regarding these materials.

The ILL Department can attempt to order your requests for dissertations and/or theses from libraries owning them. However, there may be other options available:

• Lending libraries may be willing to copy pages so, try ordering the table of contents to determine which pages you need. Most libraries put a limit of 50 pages, some less.
