Government Resources for FAU & the Community

The Government Documents Department works to make government resources available  to students, faculty, & staff at FAU, citizens of the 22nd Congressional District, and people of South Florida.

Locating Federal & State Resources

Reading RoomAs a member of the Federal Depository Library Program and a State Depository Library, we provide access to government information resources in many formats. Print materials can be found in the Library Catalog, which also contains many fulltext e-resources. (Check out this month's New Electronic Titles)

The Department provides access to and assistance in the use of  statistical resources. See Best Census & Statistical Sites.

Government information resources on microforms, including NTIS microfiche, and in electronic formats are also provided.

Congressional Hearings

Maps

Congressional Hearings offer important primary resources for many research topics. Full-text from 1824-2014 is available through ProQuest Congressional Hearings database. Free access to hearings published online by GPO can be found at FDsys.

Learn more, and get helpful search tips, from our Finding Congressional Hearings web page.
