Government Documents Microforms are located along the North West end of the Government Document Department.
Some Documents are arranged according to the Superintendent of Documents classification
system. CIS Legislative products can be searched using the Congressional Universe
database and CIS Statistical products can be searched using the Statistical Universe
database located on the FAU Libraries Collection
webpage.
The Collection includes:
LEGISLATIVE:
Hearings, prints, and documents of the U.S. House, Senate and Joint Committees.
Access is by: subject, author, individual witness, government agency, subcommittee,
names of bills or public laws, titles of publications, number of bills, reports and
documents, and names of committee and sub committee chairman.

confidential
because of national security. CIS filmed the collection from the
only known copies,

of papers of US Senators."

ASI aims to be a master guide and index to the Statistical Publications
of the U.S. Government. Current Indexes for this collection are located in
the microforms room. Previous indexes (starting from 1974) are located at

SRI aims to provide users a guide and index to selected statistical reference material
from non-Federal sources. These sources present basic National and State data on
business,
industry, finance, economic and social conditions, government and
politics,
the environment, and population. Curent Indexes for this collection are located in
the microforms room.

IIS focuses on coverage of basic economic, demographic, industrial and social statistics
of general research value and national, international, or worldwide scope. Current Indexes

The United States Census: 1790 through 1970 are available on microfilm. Data files only,
FAU Library does not have the Enumerations or Soundex
files for genealogical research.
